As an interior designer I feel that a home should personify the people who live within. Everyone has a personality; quirks, loves, hates – and their own sense of aesthetic. It's my job to successfully identify who the homeowner really is and then accurately represent their personality therein.
Gone are the days of one style or one period; no person is one layered and so neither should a house be. Rather, it should be a symphony of notes creating an entire emotional response that is at once beautiful and heartfelt.
I freely mix styles and periods, using repeating motifs to capture the true nature of the client – whether a modern hipster with a love of insects or a classic beauty with a dash of sex appeal, my ultimate goal for a client is to have their friends walk in and say, "Wow! This is so YOU!"
