Hollywood Hotel

I collaborated on this project with another interior designer, and we wanted to capture the 1920’s hey-day of the hotel. It needed to feel old Hollywood yet French, as the hotel had originally been modeled after a French chateau. We used colors that were in vogue in the 1920’s (aqua’s, pinks and gold’s) and some traditional French furniture. The result was a suite that blended seamlessly with the architecture and felt as if it had always looked that way.

F. Schumacher & Co. Showroom

The regional manager for F. Schumacher & Co. asked that to design their showroom for WestWeek. The parameters were that I had to use all Schumacher fabrics and frames and that it had to remain somewhat neutral. I chose white as my neutral and then branched out with red, blue and black accents. My concept for the design was “New Americana”.

San Francisco Lobby

This building in SOMA had a very industrial feel, and the client wanted to keep it modern but still allow it to be warm and welcoming. My choices of steel gray and light blue maintained the industrial feel (as well as clean modern shapes), and then adding red into the mix gave it warmth.
